Process(part one)
The following conceptual drape was made from two recycled mens shirts and an undershirt. These are garments which are normally perceived as upholding certain societal standards were cut apart, reconfigured, then draped back on the body
Parts such as the tag which would normally go on the back of the body facing the inside of the garment are on the front and facing the outside
The newly configured garment also struggles to hold together the body underneath which is literally spilling out. On the back is the placket with the buttons which are once again facing the inside of the body
(part two)
The second step was to catalog the progression of change and identify the type change.
(Part three)
Ultimately the process of the garments was reimagined by taking one step back, returning to basic garments, then reconfiguring their construction and function
